WebCam Guard is a tiny utility that will help you guard an area with the help of your webcam. You can define a few options – the interval in which the images should be taken, the FTP server to which the program should send the images and the username and password. Then, the program launches itself and will register itself so that it starts every time you login to Windows.
And, when it is running, it will wait for the interval to pass, and then it will send a photo to the FTP server you specified. You can then look at the photos on any other computer with a internet connection.

Thanks for viewing the WebCam Guard description. The goal of this utility is to help you to protect your Windows area from being stolen. You can use this program to monitor your area or to create a “fake webcam” for the purpose of protecting the area.
The program is very simple to use, so you can learn it in a short time. There are no technical requirements for the installation; once installed, the program will be running each time you log in.
WebCam Guard is very easy to use – you can take a picture (both in JPEG and in TIFF format) using your webcam and then you can download this photo to your computer or you can upload the photo to the FTP server you specified using the program. The downloaded photo and the uploaded photo will be stored in a specific folder, and, on your computer, you will have only one folder, but you will see two icons, one is your webcam photo and the other is the downloaded or uploaded photo. So, if you look at the Windows desktop area, you will see that there is only one icon on it, while on the other hand, you will see two. You can remove the downloaded photo or the uploaded photo by simply deleting it from the folder it is stored in.
You can also delete the downloaded or uploaded photo from the FTP server by removing it. This feature is useful if you want to make the photos you take a secret for example. If you want to use the FTP server feature, it is not necessary to be a server, you can just make the service on your computer, and then when you are about to take a photo, you can upload the photo to your FTP server using the program. You can also upload the photos you took using this program, so you can easily make a backup of a photo you took and you do not want to keep on your hard drive.
The program has a very simple and easy to use interface, so if you are an inexperienced user, you will learn how to use it easily.
I did a lot of reading regarding CamGuard and the readme seems pretty helpful and clear. I am not really sure how this would work for me since I do not have a “free” hard drive which I am guessing is what is necessary for the FTP upload. However, I am downloading it right now so maybe I can find out more.
