Windows Forms Custom control: The biggest problem is that it’s always displaying the file path of the text file. I want to display the contents of my text file as a text in a label. Need help with this.

I’m assuming that you’re using the TextControl control (which is the control that is used to display text).
What you are doing is assigning a string to an object of type TextControl, and then trying to set the text of that textbox to the string that was passed in. You cannot do that.
Instead, you need to use the Text property of the TextBox control to get the contents of a file, and then show those contents in the Text property of the textbox.
If you take a look at this example, you will see how to achieve that.
