Following the success of the earlier movies, a sequel was planned with Vijay Reddy to inject more humour into the films. Teri Meherbaniyan explores the life events which follow the joy and sorrow of love and fame. This is perhaps a distant memory for the characters, as the sequel never happens. Thakur Vijay Singh’s grieving widow, Sharda (Poonam Dhillon), keeps haunting him. But it’s clear that Thakur wants a child out of his marriage. Meanwhile, Gopi only wants the truth to be known and to exact revenge on the killers of Ram. But Thakur and his cronies do not prepare to go to prison. The law of the jungle takes hold.
Moti and Gopi cause havoc in this film, as both the cops and the Thakur’s keep trying to catch up with them. There are dark secrets lurking in the patients’ minds of both Gopi and Thakur who are in the same hospital. And finally it is the grandmother who had always kept Gopi from harming anybody that kills him after Thakur’s son kills his own daughter. The sequence where the dog in a sorrowful mood is seen lifting a heavy water tank to lay it down gently on Moti’s back, is something worth reliving!
