1. Smart Proxy
updates don’t always work for me. I use Smart Proxy for remote screen sharing and it works better than most similar products. The first time I tried it I had a lot of trouble getting the proxy to work, and the email support (on Thursday) suggested that it’s a known issue that they are working on. It did help, but not enough so that I will upgrade to the latest version without first trying it.

Develop for iPad
I would use this for a high school essay editing class.
I would not recommend using it for a business document editing class.

Gun Camp Review Assistant
I think we ended up just using some of the Lightroom functionality to make this application, which runs in the browser, work. I wasn’t able to get it to look great, but I was able to use it to import raw files from my digital camera to Lightroom and approve them in Lightroom without having to export to PSD.

Best part is it uses a photo of your choice as the background.
Don’t let that fool you, it’s still Photoshop.

I hadn’t need to edit RAW files in any other editor before.

I’m still trying to figure out how to use the native UI. I hate just seeing a web page.

Elements is still the best entry-level photography app. If you plan on continuing with photography after starting with Elements, Photoshop will be more what you need.
