The most commonly reported mental health conditions were depression, anxiety, insomnia and alcohol and substance abuse. The main productivity issues identified were that of fatigue, impaired memory and concentration. Problems were reported when the farmers experienced stress in their jobs, whether related to the workload or due to the nature of their occupation. The most significant productivity losses were related to work-related issues, such as arriving late and absent from work and productivity issues caused by reduced decision making skills.
