While Im not as excited as i was when Borderlands 2 was announced, I think that thanks to a retro inspired game, this installment of the franchise could be different enough to be worth it. Although, for that project, the team ended up working on a project based on Gearbox’s license. It was a remake of Aliens. Since Gearbox’s new IP was canceled, they decided to go back to the classics. The new game is set in their 1987 first-person shooter.
The most important feature of Overhaul is a new level editor.You can create levels entirely without using the game’s map editor. And, for the first time since the release of Colonial Marines, arewolf hunters can talk with the xenomorphs, can hack them and use their perks. The feature works like many other level editors on the market: create a level, load it, and you can play it without starting the game. Additionally, you can load a different map entirely.
