Plus, these cameras are for professionals, just like the older, traditional cameras. Like is said, standard 4K resolution is 30 fps or 24 fps and should be reserved for a movie production company. None of the consumer cameras can handle those frame rates on their own because they lack a lot of the more important technology.
With the upgrade to Photoshop, the new features in Photo Dodge 2.0 now include Content Aware Fill and Content Aware Soften. One of my favorite tricks is to burn in an image by contrast stretching and blackening. I use Photo Dodge 2.0 to remove the highlights and shadows with relative ease. You can also use it to smooth out skin tones or eliminate unwanted tape-like fringes.

The press release goes into quite a few details about what’s in the pipeline, but I’ll briefly summarize the new and improved technologies for the year to come. The new 2D engine in Photoshop, delivered first in Photoshop CC 2019, is called Adobe Stage 3D, and is a real-time software rendering engine that takes advantage of the advanced capabilities of AI. On page 130 of the software release, the following example is included to demonstrate what type of low-level optimizations are happening in order to capitalize on the GPU’s power, which can now execute programs more quickly in real-time.
This is a current version of the native shader being used in the stage 3d engine. What’s interesting is that the developer chose to use a specific pixel shader that works in parallel with your GPU, which can speed things up on mobile with lower-powered GPUs. This isn’t always the case for things like GPGPU code, where the CPU and GPU are moving data around more and more in parallel with each other. In the past I’ve considered using more open source GPGPU code, but I tend to use CoreWorx.
Geometric Correction is a feature which can be used to increase the sharpness of your images. The process involves high-precision mathematical operations which can be quite slow. In order to combat this, Geometric Correction performs the operations using multiple passes, where the result of the previous pass is used as an input for the next. This can drastically speed up the process when working on relatively high-resolution images.
As part of this experiment, Adobe wants to show the community how you can interact with Photoshop. The result is that when a user clicks to open Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, a new window will be opened in the user’s browser with a link to the web-based version (beta). This did not happen for months and even years, since the launch of the software, but now we are updating this experience so that it really works.
