Hi all. Happy to add a confirmation to the best license activation article I can find – this will tell you, after you log into your Seventh Heaven Pro license, whether you have activated it already. There is also a second license activation check, if you only log in through the Event Converter, but I never came across that one. I use a Zboard because I think it looks nicer than the iLok Keyboard Pro and it’s flexible enough that I can pull it from my iLok CLI app. You may find your satisfaction to be greater, I hope. 🙂
Passwordless license activation allows you to avoid entering your activation code whenever you activate a license. You can skip the code in License Manager or the Event Converter, you can access Licenses > Activate via a shortcut key within the Editor, you can enter a license within Event Converter. If you activate a license via Licenses > Activate or Events > Activate (activating a license in the Editor will NOT activate the license). Passwordless license activation requires Plugin Authorization enabled on the editor.
The “Activate” event: This fires whenever a new license has been used, if you receive this event from the Event Converter you can skip entering the activation code, but if you have a license in Licenses > Activate then this is the only way to activate. There is also a similar “Activate” event for iLok CLI, enter activate or license:activate on the command line.
Password-less license activation: This allows you to skip entering the activation code to a license, you can use this in many ways. In Event Converter you can use the “Activate” event. When you activate a license via Licenses > Activate this event is not active (meaning you need to enter the activation code). When you activate a license within the Editor via Edit > Activate then you do not need to enter the activation code. You can enter a license within the Event Converter or import a license from the Editor as well, in all cases the activation code should be skipped.
what will happen is that the new license key will be downloaded to your license server, and you’ll have 10 minutes to activate the license. if you don’t activate it within 10 minutes, it will go back to the download server and try again. if you don’t activate it within 2 days, the license will expire and you won’t be able to activate it.
the license activation success dialog will appear. if you are not in the united states, canada, or mexico, it will be the same as the following picture. you will need to enter the following information:
when the activation process is complete, you’ll get a message telling you so, and the activation completed button will become available. click that button and you’ll be prompted to accept the license agreement.
cubase 10.5.1 works with all ilok licenses now. you can also use the ilok for usb or ilok licenses for cd. after activation is recomended to force your daw to rescan all plugins. upon this action should appear ilok manager window asking for activation code.

what do i have to do to activate the software? go to your ilok select the plug-in tab select the browse option navigate to the /library/audio/plug-ins/ directory select the audified directory select the mixchecker.component file click on activate a license dialog box should appear. you will see the activation id (the same number you entered when purchasing your license). enter the activation id into the license key field. press next. a license dialog box should appear. press activate. click on the activate button if everything went well, you will see a green check mark next to your license in the ilok license manager. if not, please try the steps above to try again.
