Photoshop provides you with layers. Each layer is a separate image in your design. You can choose to place your photo as the foreground layer and your image as the background layer. You can also choose to place them as separate layers. These layers are the basis for all editing; one is not more important than the other.
Understanding the Photoshop Layers Panel
Photoshop offers you a wealth of options for the manipulation of your image. You need to navigate those options with the knowledge and a few handy tools.
The most important and the most obvious tool is the Layers panel, as shown in Figure 3-1. This is the place you find all the information on a single image. It lists all the images you have added to the canvas and any layers you have added or created. The Layers panel offers you a multitude of ways to get access to the layers you have created.
You can modify, edit, and copy the image the same way you would if you had Photoshop open and working on the same image. If you have a photo of the barn that you want to edit, you can add a background that has a sky in it or a background that has a brick wall. You can control the amount of transparency for each image in the same way as well. After all, if you had three items on the canvas, it’s easy to place the same image on each layer of your design, and control the transparency for each layer.
Photoshop’s layers can be arranged in different ways, depending on your workflow. The way you design a layered image often determines the way you want to organize the layers. For example, if you plan to use the Layers panel to change the way the layers are organized, you need to load the image and turn it to grayscale first. It’s important to start with an image that’s in grayscale. Color images are more difficult to work with, and you have to do a lot more work to make it easier to edit each image in color. So my recommendation is always to start with a grayscale image for any edits you plan to make.

When you view a grayscale image in Photoshop, you see that each layer is dimmed from one to three shades of gray. You see a black box around each layer when you change the dimming to three, as shown in Figure 3

Photo Manipulation
If you’re looking for an all-in-one solution for your photo editing needs, you’re probably better off sticking with Adobe Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. On the other hand, if you just want to rotate or stretch an image or maybe adjust the shadows or colors, or apply a fun photo filter, Photoshop Elements is probably a better option.
Photo Manipulation
Similar to Photoshop, Gimp is a free and open-source image editing program. It is not as polished as Photoshop, but it has all the features most people need, and it has plenty of learning opportunities. While it might be possible to get Gimp to do some of the things that Photoshop does automatically, it isn’t as easy. This would be the option to consider if you’re looking for an open-source alternative to Photoshop, but don’t need all the features of the professional tool.
Gimp is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Serif PhotoPlus is a free, non-Windows application that offers many of the features of Photoshop. Since it is a Windows program, though, it is not suitable for everyone. However, if you’re willing to pay for PhotoPlus, it could be a great choice. PhotoPlus offers a number of advanced photo editing features that are easily accessible, including the ability to clone other images, crop, resize, retouch, tweak and combine different images. In addition, it has a wide selection of filters and settings, which are organized into 10 pre-defined effects.
PhotoPlus is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.
Shotwell is a free and open-source photo editor designed for GNOME. It has just about every feature you need: it can be used as a batch image editor, has a wide range of photo editing tools and can even be used as an organizer. It is designed to be easy to use, has a simple interface and is designed to work with your GNOME desktop environment.

Trying to get property of non-object in laravel, referring to id column in database
I have created a controller to store some data in the database. In my blade template, I want to display the data that has been stored in the database, so I can create a list of all the data.
The id of each post is stored in the database, and is being read with a query.

HOUSTON – It’s been a busy day at the Southside grocery store!
They say size is everything, but the big size they’re selling on the shelves doesn’t come cheap.
Jackie Mann, of Anderson, shopped at the store at I-45 and 59th street in southeast Houston.
She was looking for the cheapest deals, but ended up paying over $60 for the things she saw that were on display for only $7.
“I was the only person there, so of course I had to take a peek,” Mann said.
In the back corner by the meat department was a display of Honeybaked Ham with prices so low there are signs next to them saying, “YOU HAVE A LADY ATTENDING TO YOU.”
Is this what’s called bait-and-switch?
Austin Gonzalez, of Stafford, thinks so.
“I was doing some online shopping and it was a Honeybaked Ham, so I brought it home to try it. When I opened the package I was like, ‘What is this?’ it was one of those ham wrappers but it was the cheapest Honeybaked Ham I’ve ever seen,” Gonzalez said.
He says he went back to the store and picked up a regular selling price.
Mann says after paying $60 for the ham in the grocery store, she got in her car, drove to the store where she bought it and paid only $25 for it.
“They were advertising over $10 cheaper than their regular price, and they gave me a steak (Bud Light) as a gift after I paid for everything, so I was like, ‘what the heck.’ So when I was going to go to the grocery store and get my usual Honeybaked Ham, I just jumped in my car and came straight here,” Mann said.
Gonzalez says when he found out what was going on, he was furious.
“You’re going to sell this to me for $7 and then try to get me to come to your store to pay $60 after that. If you can’t sell it for that,
