The present invention relates to a camera body and an interchangeable lens having an electrical connection. More specifically, the present invention relates to a camera body and an interchangeable lens having an electrical connection using a plurality of connector pins.
2. Description of the Related Art
Electrical connection using connector pins in a conventional camera body and an interchangeable lens is implemented as illustrated in FIGS. 8 and 9. In FIGS. 8 and 9, the camera body 1 and the interchangeable lens 2 are in a state in which they are connected.
The camera body 1 has a connector housing 11 which houses a plurality of connector pins 9. The connector housing 11 is formed with a pair of holes 11a and 11b on opposite sides of the connector housing 11.
A pair of holes 3a and 3b for receiving the connector pins 9 are formed on the lens 2.
A plurality of the connector pins 9, i.e., two or more than two connector pins are generally inserted into the holes 11a and 11b of the connector housing 11 and the holes 3a and 3b of the lens 2.
In the above mentioned conventional connector pin-connected state, the connector pins 9 are inserted into the holes 3a and 3b of the lens 2. Thus, an electrical connection is achieved between the lens 2 and the connector pins 9.
In the connector pin-connected state, the lens 2 is held by the camera body 1 so that the lens 2 is not disassembled from the camera body 1 even if a force is applied to the lens 2 in a direction perpendicular to the optical axis.
However, in the conventional connector pin-connected state, the connector pins 9 may fall out of the connector housing 11 and the holes 3a and 3b of the lens 2 by the force applied to the connector pin-connected lens 2.
In order to prevent the connector pins 9 from falling out of the holes 3a and 3b of the lens 2, an elastic member may be provided to the camera body 1 or the lens 2.
However, there is a possibility that the connector pins 9 fall out of the holes 3a and 3b of the lens 2 because the elastic member is low in rigidity.
