Another First Person Shooter?!?!

Easy to be a purist in this category, right?
Actually, like most other fans, myself included, I’m fairly aware of the now legendary Castle of Shikigami Crack For Windows series.
I just mention it because, while it’s still a trademark of the genre, the anime series has not been seen for a few years now.
So, with a bit of nostalgia, I happily jumped at the opportunity to play Castle of Shikigami, the sequel to the first game.

I’m not sure if you guys are aware of this, but, in the very first year of 1 A.D. Europe, an animated series from Wakanim got published by Aniplex in Japan. It was the second Castle of Shikigami game.
So, I can see the temptation of comparing the games with this one, simply because it’s a video game and not just a manga series that eventually got an anime adaptation.
However, I want to make it clear that this game is not the direct sequel to the anime series.
It’s actually the sequel to the first game in the Castle of Shikigami series, and it came as a bit of a surprise to me.
For the sake of comparison, I think it’s a good idea to show you the animation that the creators of the anime series, Wakanim, started using for the game.
In fact, this is a comparison between the game and the anime series.
I think, from now on, it’s easier to talk about Castle of Shikigami using just the game’s name, Castle of Shikigami.

The game has a surprising amount of charm
That’s my only complaint – it gets repetitive. In fact, the gameplay gets a little boring – as long as there’s not a lot of heavy fire it’s pretty easy to score every level.
Despite its flaws, I think I’d like to play this again, maybe as a quickie. Still, with a limited number of player avatars and levels, it’s tough to get invested.

This game was simply amazing. You could play as any avatar you want in any order. I was really impressed with the shooting mechanics and would recommend this game to anyone. Great music too.

I personally enjoyed this game, but I have to say that it became really repetitive, there’s only so much time you can spend trying to time your button presses.
Don’t get me wrong, the graphics are pretty good, I really like the point and shoot gameplay and I love the fact that you can play as pretty much any character you like.
That being said, if you play this for a long time, you’ll get a bit tired of the game.
The difficulty level is a bit on the easy side, it’s basically a one button shooter. You basically just have to wait for all the enemies to spawn, take out as many as possible and then move on. The only real challenge comes from the bosses who spawn at certain intervals, which only adds a little bit of difficulty.
Now, I’m not saying that you won’t enjoy this game, it’s just that it’s really simple, it doesn’t last very long and that’s going to deter a lot of people from playing it.
