    Overall, it’s a bit hard to decide what to focus on in Eden’s gameplay. I am not a very good critic of games with a long lifespan like this…

    There are plenty of different parts that Eden has to offer, though. First, there’s the combat, which has a lot of flair and is easy to pick up. The various weapons that you can get from the shop are mostly powerful and versatile, providing you with a good amount of options. In addition to that, you can craft different items with special abilities that make a world of difference in how you’ll have to fight.

    The real meat of Eden is the true RPG experience. You can build up your character using a lot of different features that are at your disposal. This allows for a really wide variety of possible scenarios, which is both very deep and very rewarding. For example, you can reduce your character’s age, meaning that you get more experience that you can gain from every step you take, but you also get the chance to choose your gender later in life. This is also pretty good in terms of the combat, as you can enjoy a huge variety of different fights.

    Aside from the combat, there are also a lot of things to do within the story. You get to choose what path you want to follow, what items you want to craft, what characters you want to meet, etc. If you want to go for the “science kind of” route, you can see what happens when you don’t pursue that goal in the game. If you want to be more of a warrior and really want to focus on combat, you can go your own path and fight for what you believe in.

    At the end of the day, I’d say Eden is a good example of a game that does more than just one thing really well. I find it difficult to describe Eden as a “RPG” in a traditional sense, because there is so much more to it than that. Nonetheless, I’d say that I enjoyed my experience with Eden quite a bit. It’s not something that feels like a particularly shallow experience, and I can’t say that I’d mind my time with Eden being a bit longer in the future.
