The present invention relates to a colloid manufacturing method for manufacturing a water-in-oil emulsion comprising an oil phase containing from 10 to 30 wt. % of a zinc soap based on paraffin and a water phase dispersed with the oil phase in the form of a uniform colloidal dispersion. This manufacturing method is applicable to an emulsion for washing or cleaning the inside of a woven or knitted fabric.
2. Description of the Prior Art
The present inventors have made extensive studies to provide a process of manufacturing a water-in-oil emulsion in which an emulsion having the ability to remove oil stains from a fibrous material such as cotton is obtained by dispersing the oil phase in the form of small drops into the water phase in the presence of a thickener.
It is, however, difficult to disperse a water phase evenly in the oil phase, because of the difference in densities between the oil phase and the water phase, because of the difference in the specific gravities of the components of the respective phases, and because of the difference in the specific viscosities of the respective phases. Since the thickness of the oil-water interface is thin, it is only necessary for the emulsion droplets to absorb the thin oil-water interface to form an emulsion having a high emulsion stability.
With this in view, it is an important technical object to provide a colloidal dispersion which retains the emulsion stability.
It is another important technical object to provide a manufacturing method for uniformly dispersing a water phase in a thin oil-water interface formed in the oil phase.
